The Team Behind Goldies
You may ask: "Who is Goldies?"
It's a simple answer, we're a family business. New to making and retailing porridge perhaps but definitly not new to food.
Sarah and Francisco took over Goldies Wholefoods in July 2022. It was a Covid start-up and Charlotte, the founder, was ready to try new things.
With a background in food science and packaging, Sarah is hoping to apply many years of manufacturing and small business mentoring experience to this business to make it something truly special. Porridge is something that so many people are quietly passionate about, here's our chance to shout about it!
Sarah was diagnosed with a wheat allergy at 16 and has been gluten free ever since. She understands the challenges of finding healthy food that tastes great for people with dietary requirements. Francisco understands that the rest of the family often eats the same food so it better be good for everyone!
Goldies products are all free from dairy, vegan friendly and our keto range is also gluten free. Our undertaking is to stick to this as a core value so that where you see Goldies, you know there are options for you to explore.
Along with the range of products already available, expanding this further is certainly on the cards. The focus of course will be on delicious, healthy options, so watch this space!
Living and working on the Kāpiti Coast, a growing and popular food business location, Sarah and Francisco enjoy spending time with their 2 boys and 2 dogs. Making the most of the beautiful river and beaches the area has to offer, building family memories for this busy couple.
And at the end of the day, there’s Goldies to recharge those batteries.
Current faves:
Sarah - Sticky Date and Walnut with a dollop of Raglan Vanilla Bean coconut yoghurt. Great for a pre-school-run, late lunch.
Francisco - Mango and Coconut Bircher with cold milk and a dollop of yoghurt.
Boys - Golden Banana and Coconut with anything they can lay their hands on!
Not too sweet, not too boring - that sounds just right!
